A RECORD SETTING YEAR OF FISHING ACTION
As we count down the days remaining in 2011 I want to thank you for being a client and for
realizing that every one of your fishing trips is important enough to have the comprehensive fishing
forecasting information that ROFFS™ provides. Our goal is to get you to the concentrations of
feeding fish fast using science and experience. From the reports you sent back, we achieved this
again. In addition to many fish and big fish, the fishing oceanographic analyses increase your fish
per hour rate, as well as, increasing your fish per gallon of fuel (i.e. increased catch efficiency). The
2011 fishing year was another excellent year for ROFFS™. Our clients (you) won awards in 561
categories in just 124 major tournaments. This increases the 21 year tally to 5698 winners! The
558 winners is a ROFFS™ record as it surpasses the previous number of winners (537) set in
2009. We suspect that there are other winning efforts we still have not heard about.
We are often told that ROFFS™ helps level the playing field for people who are not on the
water everyday, yet helps the good fishermen produce more. ROFFS™ clients also won top
awards in multiple tournament venues such as the North Carolina and South Carolina Governor’s
Cups, SKA Yamaha Professional Kingfish Tour including SKA Lady Angler of the Year, Ocean City
(MD) Marlin Club Seasonal, Beach Haven Marlin and Tuna Club Seasonal, the Cape May Marlin
and Tuna Club Seasonal, Mobile Big Game Fishing Club Seasonal, and Corpus Christi Big Game
Fishing Club Seasonal tournament. Please review the enclosed Winners List and send additions,
photos, videos, video links, and other corrections. We also received many calls and emails of great
fishing days independent of tournaments. Thank you for those happy notes, photos, and videos.

Again, we were able to fulfill 93% of all requests for analyses this year which is an amazing
accomplishment by our team of expert satellite fisheries oceanographers considering how
challenging clouds, fog, and smoke are when trying to observe the ocean. This was accomplished
due to the experience and astuteness of our analysts that manipulate (re-calibrate, re-navigate,
etc.), as well as, interpret and integrate the satellite with other oceanographic data. ROFFS™ is
now using all the functioning NOAA infrared satellite data (NOAA_15, 16, 18, 19), along with the
NASA Terra and Aqua satellites (infrared and visible ocean color-chlorophyll + dissolved colored
organic matter misnamed “plankton” or “clarity satellites”) and the European Space Agency (ESA)
Metop-A (infrared) and ENVISAT (visible ocean color and synthetic aperture radar) satellites. We
plan to continue fulfilling your orders at this rate even as the satellites are aging and degrading. We
are working on receiving additional infrared, ocean color, and other satellite data.
With the abundance of satellite data, as well as, other hydrographic and meteorological data
we are better able to visualize and understand the ocean circulation and water mass boundary
features related to fish distribution and catch success. This allows ROFFS™ to continue providing
our unique and superior detailed fishing oceanographic analysis, even though it is a time intensive
process. We continue developing state-of-the-science customized tools and techniques in our
never tiring attempt to provide more accurate, precise, and reliable analyses.
Nineteen
