Also, as a heads up to mariners: NOAA buoys 41009 and 41010 off Cape Canaveral will be re-deployed soon.
The vessel that has been servicing/deploying buoys was near the Carolina coast on 4/19. Weather permitting, the ship should deploy 41010/41009 by the end of April.
We thank NOAA for their efforts to replace these needed buoys. They have also been working and repairing others around the USA. We support their efforts.

Scientific consulting company (Roffer’s Ocean Fishing Forecasting Service, Inc. – ROFFS™, West Melbourne, Florida) is looking for a self-motivated, investigative, reliable, positive, and energetic person that will flourish in a challenging deadline and production oriented environment. Candidate should be a self-starter and team player. Position involves processing and analyzing satellite derived oceanographic data (infrared, ocean color, altimeter, etc.), in-situ oceanographic data and model output for several applications including deriving daily oceanographic fishing forecasting analyses (will train).

Above: ROFFS™ client Rob Reilly on the “Side Piece” fishing the Ed Dwyer Other Side Tournament this past weekend on a Walker’s Cay analysis. “after an exam of your chart we picked a spot that looked best to us and headed for it. With very rough conditions we made our 100 nm mile trip in about 4.5 hours. The chart was dead on with where the temp break was. After a short time fishing we got our first two bites, it was a double header on blue marlin. We landed one out of the two. After that we came across a whale shark hanging out in the cooler waters of the eddy, he was covered up in tuna we landed 4 big eyes, 3 black fins, and a yellow fin off him before losing sight of him. We finished the day out on the single bird pack we found all day. We went 2 for 4 on 80 lb. class yellowfin tunas, a half dozen mahi and released a white marlin. We finished in 2nd place with a 85 lb. yellowfin and 1st in the billfish release division. Your SST put us on them.” Congrats guys!
