Tons and tons of squid offshore of Long Island at night the last few nights. Taken on the “Hot Potato” from LI, NY.  The tuna are swimming by the boat following the squid. They took home a dozen nice sized yellowfin and released approx. 20 short ones along with bigeyes. Video Courtesy: Marcel Israel “Hot Potato”

NOT a Biologist!

Darwin award winner? A friend sent me this video that was taken at a pier somewhere near Wilmington. Someone fishing at the pier had a shark on their line and this guy thought it would be a good idea to go out in the water and grab it. He said that the guy was supposed to be a “marine biologist”. I feel confident that he will never do this again! Wow! Video Courtesy: Randy Etheridge | Facebook
