Surfer Falls on Shark!

This is amazing DJI Mavic Air 4K footage of sharks near surfers and one surfer actually falls on a shark! This drone video shows lots of other sharks, manatees, spotted eagle ray, etc. Sharks swim very close to the manatees too. Some of these sharks are part of the amazing shark migration that takes place this time of year. The sharks were never interested in the surfers and they never showed any aggression towards them. Many of the sharks appeared to be Blacktip Sharks and Spinner Sharks. This Mavic Air Drone footage was captured near the Fort Pierce Inlet and Vero Beach, Florida. Fishing Boat Made Of Discarded Plastic Bottles!

Can you really turn bottles into boats? For one student in Cameroon, the answer is obviously yes. A fishing boat recently made by the student, Ismael Essome Ebode, was made out of used plastic bottles. Ebode said he created it to help fight pollution. “We are fighting,” he said. “We are trying to find innovative solutions that are new and can be useful in order to add value to these bottles.” He’s been testing the boat and trying to convince local fishermen to use it as a cheaper, environmentally-friendly option to wooden boats. In 2014, Cameroon banned disposable plastic bags. But the law is rarely enforced in rural areas, where many merchants believe the alternatives are more expensive. Ebode has now made five boats, showing that hope does indeed float. Video Courtesy: Vocativ | YouTube

River Otter Learns to Swim!

Learning to swim isn’t easy, even for river otters. Tucker, a North American river otter born at the Oregon Zoo in late February, took his first dip this week … but not without a lot of help from their mom, Tilly. Video Courtesy: Oregon Zoo | YouTube
