Georgetown Blue Marlin Tournament Winner, “Hydrosphere” Brings in 531 lb Fish

The 2022 offshore fishing kicked off in beautiful Georgetown, South Carolina on Memorial Day weekend with the 54th Georgetown Blue Marlin Tournament. The anglers found good conditions for all 3 days of the competition. This year’s event had 71 boats competing for a total purse of $569,875.00

The Winner for the largest Blue Marlin went to the Captain and crew off “Hydrosphere” that earned them the winning check of $98,753.00 for their fish weighing in at just over 532 pounds, with the second place going the Captain and crew of “Mister Pete” with a Marlin weighing in at 481.6 pounds, earning the $62, 843.00.

The Georgetown Blue Marlin Tournament  is part of the South Carolina Governor’s Cup Bill Fishing Series.
